Liberated

America Fights for Democracy in World War II narrated America's battle for democracy in a compact mezzanine exhibition. This showcase delved into a chapter of history spotlighting notable artifacts that embodied the spirit of this era. Visitors encountered the journal of Hiroshima atomic bombing survivor Michio Taniwaki, Helen Rowland Proctor's toolbox utilized in the assembly of Boeing bombers, and a

fez-style hat once worn by Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, captured by Colorado's 10th Mountain Division.

I structured this display around thematic cases each devoted to a nation's role in WWII hoping to weave a vivid tapestry of history. Designs were derived from propaganda posters of their time, creating an experience that paid homage to the past.
