Lincoln Hills Reimagined

First opened in 2012, History Colorado’s Lincoln Hills exhibition told the story of one of the nation’s only Black-owned resorts during segregation. In 2025, I worked with community members to refresh the exhibition. Lincoln Hills was more than a retreat; it was a symbol of Black autonomy, wellness, and cultural expression. Together, we honored its legacy by telling a fuller, more joyful story.
